Biography

Dr. Ann Marcus-Quinn is a lecturer in Technical Communication and Instructional Design at the University of Limerick, Ireland. She is currently the Course Director for the Graduate Certificate in Technical Writing. In a previous role Ann worked with the National Digital Learning Resources service (NDLR) as a national advocate for Open Educational Resources. Ann has a wide range of publications to date reflecting her specialist teaching and research interests, including, eLearning Open Educational Resources (OERs), usability, instructional design and the use of ICT at post-primary level.  A case study on the impact of Ann's research was published by the Irish Humanities Alliance . Ann is currently co-supervising three PhD candidates.

Recent Research Activities:
Collaborator on a National Forum funded project to examine how digital teaching and learning resources can be used, developed and shared in order to enhance teaching and learning in Irish higher education. For more details see:

Collaborator on a recent EU funded project (with University of Reading) "Reading to do: mapping the user experience of paper and electronic texts."
