Biography

I am a Lecturer in Economics at the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick. My main research interest is in the applied microeconomics and microeconometrics. I received my master's degree in Economics and Business Administration (Diplom-Kauffrau) from European University Viadrina (Frankfurt/Oder) in Germany (2003) and PhD in Economics from Trinity College Dublin (2008). My PhD work was related to the estimation of production and demand functions for German, Austrian and Swiss non-profit theatres. From 2008 until 2011, I was a postdoctoral research fellow in the  Department of Economics, Trinity College Dublin, where I worked in the area of cultural economics. I  joined the Department of Economics, University of Limerick in 2012.  Since 2017, I am a member of the Efficiency and Productivity Analysis research group based in Kemmy Business School. I am interested in studying the efficiency and productivity factors for the performing arts institutions and health organisations. My other recent research areas of interest are the tourism economics, health economics and economics of well-being.
