Using a case-study of one
particularly / highly stigmatised public housing estate we unveil the realities
of a class-based society, and report on how print and broadcast media produce
and circulate classed representations and pathologising/stigmatising discourses
regarding the working / underclass and the places in which they live. We have
chosen to examine media coverage of a marginalised housing estate, Moyross, in
Limerick in the Southwest of Ireland.
