‘Take 1 Step’ (#t1step; www.t1step.ie) is a collaboration between the Shannon Consortium (SC) partners University of Limerick, Mary Immaculate College & Limerick Institute of Technology funded by the National Forum under the Teaching Enhancement Fund 2015. The aim of the initiative was to run a focused campaign across the SC campuses to enhance the digital capacity of staff and students. Based on the key skills that the All Aboard National Framework identifies (http://allaboardhe.org/), the SC surveyed staff and students to ascertain what digital skills they wanted to learn. The t1step team used this diagnostic information to design five Technology Enhanced Learning Roadshows across the three institutions between February and March. A number of presentations, workshops and webinars (facilitated by international experts, SC members, and staff and students across our three institutions) were offered to facilitate all those who signed up to t1step. Resources shared from the All Aboard project have also been part of the t1step campaign, while t1step is expected to contribute a number of OERs back into All Aboard. Also, each Institution provided opportunities to staff and students to access Innovation Funds to support development, implementation of pilot projects, and development of new OERs. This stimulated existing and new TEL practitioners to engage with the initiative. Stufflebeam’s CIPP evaluation model (2012) informed the evaluation of the programme in its four phases (context, input, process and product) in order to make judgments about the initiative and inform decisions about future programming. This presentation will share our experiences about running a programme such as this and preliminary evaluation results.
