In advance of the European Day of Early Music on 21 March, Vlad Smishkewych and Galway Early Music present a concert titled ‘Col vento e’l tasto – Music of the Seicento for Winds and Keyboard’. The programme includes works by Johann-Hermann Schein, Dario Castello, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Tarquinio Merula and Johann Schop. Featuring renowned musicians Eva Legêne, recorders, Conor Hastings, cornetto, Stephanie Dyer, sackbut, and Yonit Kosovske, harpsichord and chamber organ. Presented with the support of Galway Early Music and Galway City Council/Galway City Arts Office.
